The role requires a decade of high-level coaching, mastery of modern rugby tactics, and a proven ability to develop players and teams. You will lead staff, analyze games, and ensure player welfare with the medical team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years as head coach or senior assistant at high level rugby.
• Strong knowledge of modern rugby tactics and conditioning principles.
• Proven track record developing players and teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication and motivational abilities.
• Coaching qualifications and deep knowledge of rugby rules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement game strategies, training programs and player development plans.
• Lead on-field coaching including practice and match-day coaching.
• Recruit, scout and develop talented players and build a cohesive team unit.
• Mentor assistant coaches and support staff to align with the vision.
• Analyze opponent strategies and game footage to devise counter-tactics.
• Oversee player welfare including conditioning, injury management and nutrition with staff in Stellenbosch.
