Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years in sports performance coaching and management, elite rugby focus.
- Accreditation with a recognised sports science or coaching body (e.g., CSCS, UKSCA).
- Experience developing and implementing athlete development programs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the sports performance department, including strength and conditioning, injury rehabilitation, and athlete nutrition.
- Design and implement periodized training programs tailored to rugby players across positions.
- Conduct performance testing and analysis to monitor progress and identify improvements.
- Collaborate with the medical team on injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies.
- Mentor and manage the sports performance coaching staff, fostering a high‑achieving team.
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in sports science.
