You will lead a groundskeeping crew, drive long-term agronomic plans, optimize playability and aesthetics, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards, while coordinating with golf professionals to meet member and visitor

Competenze

• A degree/diploma in horticulture, agronomy, or turfgrass management.
• Minimum 5 years in golf course management, with 2+ years as Superintendent.

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of all groundskeeping equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Develop and manage the annual operating budget for the golf course maintenance department, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor weather patterns and adjust maintenance practices accordingly, preparing for seasonal challenges and major tournaments.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and implement sustainable turf management practices.
• Collaborate with golf professionals and management to ensure the course meets the expectations of members and visitors in **George**.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in Horticulture, Agronomy, Turfgrass Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in golf course management, with at least 2 years in a Superintendent role.
• Proven experience in managing staff and budgets effectively.
• Comprehensive knowledge of turfgrass physiology, soil science, entomology, and plant pathology.
• Proficiency in irrigation system management and technology.
