Job summary

Objective Personnel is seeking an experienced electronics technician to diagnose and repair PCBs and modules, with a focus on advanced fault-finding and precise soldering. You will read schematics, use multimeters and oscilloscopes, and balance turnaround time with repair quality.

Responsibilities include bench testing, repair ownership, maintaining digital job cards and ensuring repair viability within approved quotations. Exposure to automotive ECU repairs is valued.

Qualifications

• Able to read circuit schematics/wiring diagrams and use diagnostic tools.

• BGA rework, firmware/reprogramming or test-jig development.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on light-current electronics experience, including PCB component identification, testing and systematic fault diagnosis.
• Confident SMD and through-hole soldering/rework, with excellent precision, workmanship and attention to detail.
• Able to read circuit schematics/wiring diagrams and use multi-meters, oscilloscopes, bench power supplies and related diagnostic tools.
• Independent problem-solver who can balance turnaround time with repair quality, work in a team and keep accurate electronic records.
• Exposure to automotive/ECU repairs, instrument clusters, commercial-vehicle, construction or agricultural modules.
• BGA rework, firmware/reprogramming or test-jig development. Advanced electronics ability is the priority.

Duties

• Advanced fault-finding.
• Diagnose PCBs and modules to component level; trace power, signal and circuit faults using schematics and measured results.
• Precision repairs.
• Carry out through-hole and SMD soldering/rework, replace failed components and repair damaged board connections where viable.
• Bench testing and quality.
• Use multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and test jigs to isolate faults; test units thoroughly before release and identify repeat-failure risks.
• Repair ownership and records.
• Assess repair viability early, work to approved quotations, keep accurate digital job cards/photos and flag delays, parts requirements or non-viable jobs promptly.
• Technical improvement.
• Maintain test equipment, help refine test jigs and repair methods, and share practical findings with the workshop team.
