Job summary

MyCareerCraft is seeking a qualified Electrician for national coverage in South Africa. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across industrial, commercial, and maintenance settings, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You will read diagrams, interpret manuals, perform routine inspections, document work, and support upgrades while coordinating with other departments to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science.
• Completed an electrician apprenticeship or trade qualification.
• Registered or eligible to register with the relevant South African professional body.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in industrial, commercial, or maintenance electrical work.
• Proficient in using electrical testing tools, meters, and safety equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment according to industry standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical installations.
• Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing devices and recommend solutions.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with South African safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Assist with upgrades or modifications to electrical systems when required.
• Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
