Vincere in Durban, South Africa, seeks a qualified Electrician to ensure safe, reliable operation of electrical systems, with installation, preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs in FMCG environments.

You will work with the Maintenance and Production teams, apply safety standards, respond to electrical breakdowns, and have hands‑on knowledge of VSD/VFDs, PLCs, and light/heavy current systems.

Competenze

• Trade Tested Electrician (Red Seal) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in FMCG.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with VSD/VFDs.

Mansioni

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, machinery and equipment in compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Conduct preventative maintenance routines to ensure longevity and efficient operations of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices and diagnostic equipment.

Job Title:

Electrician

Job Purpose:

Our client is seeking a qualified Electrician to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of electrical systems, machinery and equipment through effective installation, preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs. The role will be responsible for minimising production downtime by responding promptly to electrical breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions. The Electrician will ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety standards and company procedures, while providing technical support to Maintenance and Production teams. The role will also require knowledge of VSD/VFDs, PLCs, light and heavy current systems, and a strong focus on equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, machinery and equipment in compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Conduct preventative maintenance routines to ensure longevity and efficient operations of electrical systems.
