Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer for their Port Elizabeth facility. The role focuses on developing test procedures, setting up test equipment, and analyzing results to ensure the reliability of electrical products.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years in electrical testing or QA and hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data acquisition systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an electrical testing or quality assurance role.
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Knowledge of circuit analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and procedures for electrical products.
• Set up and operate test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
• Perform functional, performance, and environmental testing on electrical components and systems.
• Analyze test data, identify root causes of failures, and report findings to engineering teams.
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure accuracy and readiness.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
