Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to support renewable energy project operations in Paarl, Western Cape. The role covers installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems in solar and wind energy installations, with emphasis on safe, efficient operation and timely project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current), at least 3 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in electrical diagrams,

Qualifications

Diploma or equivalent in electrical engineering (Heavy Current).
Minimum 3 years’ experience as Electrical Technician in energy or construction sectors.
Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits and power distribution.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain and repair electrical systems in renewable energy sites.
Read schematics, blueprints and manuals.
Troubleshoot faults and implement repairs.
Assist with commissioning of new systems.
Ensure safety procedures and codes are followed.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers.
Maintain on-site safety and inventory.
