About the Role Our client is seeking a proficient Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team, focusing on the electrical systems within large industrial facilities near Mahikeng. This role involves ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical power distribution, control systems, and machinery. With a hybrid work arrangement, you'll have the opportunity to conduct on-site assessments and collaborate with teams, complemented by remote work for analysis and design. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain electrical power distribution systems, motor control centers, and lighting for industrial facilities.
• Develop and manage electrical schematics, control logic, and documentation for plant machinery and processes.
• Perform root cause analysis for electrical failures and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Oversee electrical aspects of plant modifications, upgrades, and new installations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance teams and operations personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a significant focus on industrial facilities and processes.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, including VFDs, PLCs, switchgear, and transformers.
• Experience with electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and risk assessments.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
