Job summary

ZealHR is seeking an Operations Manager (Electrical) in Parow to oversee four installation and maintenance teams, drive quotations and business development while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires a qualified electrician with trade certification, at least 5 years in commercial/industrial electrical work, and 2+ years in a supervisory capacity. Travel within Cape Town is expected.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with a trade test certificate (e.g., Red Seal).
• Registered as Installation Electrician with three-phase wireperson status and CoC issuing authority.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial/industrial electrical work.
• At least 2 years in supervisory or management roles.
• Experience in preparing quotations and cost estimates.
• Knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Valid SA Code B or EB driver’s licence and own transport.
• Proficient with email, Excel and job-management software.
• Clear criminal record.
• Willingness to travel regularly in Cape Town.
• Availability for after-hours and weekend work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate four installation and maintenance teams to plan daily work.
• Prepare quotations covering materials, labour, equipment and margins.
• Develop and maintain relationships with commercial clients and seek new business.
• Ensure compliance with SANS 10142-1 and safety regulations; issue CoCs when required.
• Deliver monthly sales and operations reports.
