Job summary

Placements24 seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a busy facility operations team in Queenstown. You will service electrical systems, troubleshoot faults, and perform preventative maintenance to keep machinery running safely and efficiently.

The role requires reading schematics, installing wiring and components, and maintaining detailed logs. A trade qualification and strict safety adherence are highly valued for this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician or in a similar industrial electrical role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control circuits, and power distribution.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams.
• A valid electrical trade qualification or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• Commitment to adhering to strict safety procedures in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and control panels.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Install new electrical wiring, equipment, and lighting systems according to specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
