Job summary

Placements24 in Stellenbosch invites an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our technical department. You will analyze, troubleshoot, and upgrade complex electrical systems to ensure reliability, safety, and performance across operations on-site.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years hands-on experience, HV, power distribution, motor control, and protection relays, plus proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and thermal imagers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of hands-on experience in electrical system analysis, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
HV systems, power distribution, motor control and protection relays expertise.
Proficient with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform in-depth diagnostics and root cause analysis of complex electrical system faults.
Develop and implement electrical system upgrades and modernization projects.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations and best practices.
Provide expert technical consultation to engineering, maintenance and operations teams.
Conduct system audits and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical engineering advancements and industry trends.
