Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a focus on control systems to join our Stellenbosch team in a hybrid role combining design work remotely with on-site testing and client interactions.

You will design schemas, specify PLCs and sensors, develop control software, and support FAT/SAT, working with mechanical and software teams to deliver robust automation solutions for industrial processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in control systems design.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, automation, and networks.
• Experience with electrical safety standards and hazardous area classifications.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and control system issues during commissioning and operation.


• Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) for control systems.
