Placements24 is seeking an Automation Electrical Engineer in Stellenbosch to design, implement, and optimize automated control systems for industrial processes.

You will work with PLCs, HMI, and SCADA to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety while collaborating with mechanical engineers on project teams in a dynamic Western Cape environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Proven experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
• Proficiency with major PLC platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, Omron).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA software and industrial networking protocols.
• Understanding of electrical hardware design for automation panels.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and program PLC control systems for various industrial applications.
• Develop and configure HMI and SCADA systems.
• Integrate automation components, including sensors, drives, and robotics.
• Troubleshoot and debug automation software and hardware issues on the plant floor.
