Job summary

S-Cubed in Cape Town is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Technologist (Associate) for a permanent role. You will contribute to design and construction of Eskom and municipal distribution networks, lead ECSA-stages 1-6, and mentor junior staff.

The ideal candidate holds a BEng/BSc/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of experience, professional ECSA registration, and strong knowledge of standards. Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and grid engineering tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Seven years minimum design and construction management experience for Eskom and Municipal Distribution & Reticulation networks, with knowledge of Eskom, SANS, NRS and IEEE standards.
• Strong understanding of building services within a multi-disciplinary project environment.
• Knowledge of renewable energy solutions and Grid Code compliance would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Execute Electrical Projects from ECSA Stages 1 to 6, including design drafting.
• Manage commercial, quality, resourcing and technical risk during project lifecycle.
• Maintain strong communication and people relations; mentor junior staff.
• Drive innovation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with supply authorities and clients; manage service providers.
