You will work under senior engineers, ensuring design compliance with marine standards, supporting testing and commissioning, and traveling for site work when required.

Qualifications

• Requires a National Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Proficiency in CAD for electrical design (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and ability to read complex drawings.
• Experience with marine or industrial electrical systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing electrical systems for marine vessels and offshore structures.
• Produce detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD software.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and component lists for electrical installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and inspections as required to gather information or verify installations.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical issues and assist in identifying solutions.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design or as an electrical technician, preferably with exposure to industrial or marine systems.
• Proficiency in using CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Good understanding of electrical principles, components, and systems.
• Familiarity with marine classification society rules and maritime electrical standards is a significant advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
