Formación

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology is required.
• 2–5 years’ experience as an electrical design technician or drafter.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or other electrical CAD software.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles, components and control systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Create and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and single-line diagrams using CAD software.
• Assist engineers in developing BOMs and specifications for components and equipment.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards, project specs, and codes.
• Maintain and organize the electrical drawing archive with version control.
• Support data collection, site visits, and technical queries related to electrical design.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Technician to support their engineering team in Mahikeng . This role is focused on the creation and modification of electrical drawings and documentation under the supervision of Electrical Engineers. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of electrical design packages for various projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient with CAD software, and eager to contribute to a team environment, developing their career within the electrical design field.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and single-line diagrams using CAD software.
• Assist engineers in developing Bill of Materials (BOMs) and technical specifications for electrical components and equipment.
• Ensure all drawings and documentation comply with company standards, project specifications, and relevant industry codes.
• Maintain and organize the electrical drawing archive, ensuring easy access and version control.
• Support the engineering team with data collection, site visits, and technical queries related to electrical design.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.

Requirements

• National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience as an electrical design technician or drafter.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD Electrical and/or other relevant electrical CAD software.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles, components, and control systems.
