Job summary

Triz Engineering Solutions is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Centurion to join our engineering team, focusing on medium and heavy-duty truck electrical systems and harness design.

You will design vehicle electrical systems using 3D CAD (Siemens NX) and 2D schematics, integrate electrical components, and coordinate with suppliers and other disciplines to meet project timelines and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• B Eng or B Tech in Electrical/Mechatronics or equivalent.
• 3+ years in electrical design engineering.
• Automotive OEM design experience is a plus.
• 3D CAD: Siemens NX advantageous.
• Schematics design in Mentor Graphics Vesys advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Medium and heavy-duty truck chassis harness design using 3D CAD and 2D schematics.
• Vehicle electrical systems design, 3D wiring in Siemens NX; 2D harness drawings.
• Electrical component integration.
• Evaluate scope and manage project timelines.
• Prepare BOM and representative 3D assemblies (Unigraphics NX).
• Product data management in PDM (Teamcenter).
• Ensure designs meet supplier and regulatory requirements.
• Design with cost-saving, ease of installation and servicing in mind.
• Conduct concept and design reviews.
• Liaise with suppliers and other engineering teams.
• Assess results against customer requirements and standards.
