Job summary

A reputable consulting engineering firm in Cape Town is seeking an Electrical Design Technologist or Engineer to contribute to design and development of electrical building services across sectors. The role requires a BTech or BEng in Electrical Engineering and 2–3 years’ experience in a consulting environment.

Proficiency in Revit and knowledge of SANS standards are advantageous. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with architects and other consultants, and will

Qualifications

• BTech or BEng in Electrical Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
• 2–3 years of practical experience in a consulting engineering environment.
• Experience in electrical design within building services projects.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans is essential.
• Familiarity with SANS standards and local building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design of building services projects from concept through to construction.
• Preparation of layouts, schematics and technical specifications.
• Coordination with internal teams, architects and other consultants.
• Participation in client and site meetings, and project delivery activities.
