Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to lead multi-storey and industrial projects in the South Africa region. You will apply reinforced concrete and structural steel design methods, coordinate design teams, and manage client relationships to deliver compliant, integrated structural solutions.

The role requires a BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, with advantageous ECSA registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or BSc Civil Engineering).
• ECSA registration will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years' structural engineering experience within consulting, construction, or infrastructure environments.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in reinforced concrete design, including foundations, slabs, beams, columns, and multi-storey structural systems
• Strong background in structural steel design, including connections, framing systems, and commercial or industrial structures
• Proven experience on multi-storey developments, with understanding of load paths, stability systems, and constructability
• Experience in industrial structures, including warehouses, factories, and large-span building systems
• Ability to lead projects and manage client relationships, including coordination of design teams and project delivery requirements
• Proficiency in Prokon for structural analysis and design.
• Experience using Tekla Structural Designer for modelling, analysis, and integrated design workflows
• Proficiency in Revit for BIM modelling and coordinated structural documentation
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD for structural drawings and detailing
