Job summary

Placements24 in Benoni seeks an Electrical Design Specialist to develop detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts for a range of products. You will collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure designs meet standards, are manufacturable, and thoroughly documented throughout the product development cycle.

3–5 years of proven electrical design experience and proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN are required, with a solid understanding of power

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in electrical design and schematic capture.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, power distribution, and control systems.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using CAD software.
• Specify electrical components, hardware, and materials, ensuring compliance with project requirements and budgets.
• Conduct electrical calculations and simulations to verify design integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure proper integration of electrical components within product enclosures.
• Support the prototyping and testing phases, troubleshooting design issues as they arise.
• Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
• Assist in the design transfer to manufacturing, ensuring manufacturability and testability.
