Qualifications

• Proven caregiving experience, preferably with the elderly.
• Completion of a recognized caregiver or community health worker qualification is highly desirable.
• Excellent understanding of elderly care needs and best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to elderly clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with medication reminders and ensure clients take prescribed medications as directed.
• Prepare nutritious meals and support clients with feeding if necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, such as tidying living spaces, laundry, and basic cleaning.
• Accompany clients to appointments, social outings, and community events, providing support and companionship.
• Monitor clients' health and well-being, reporting any changes to supervisors and healthcare providers.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities and provide companionship to combat loneliness.
• Assist with mobility, including transfers and use of assistive devices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records of care provided.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure coordinated care.
