A leading technical solutions provider is seeking an experienced EC&I Technician in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with at least 8 years of experience in industrial plants, focusing on installations and maintenance. Responsibilities include performing maintenance activities, calibrating instrumentation, and managing documentation. Attractive salary of R35,000 CTC per month along with a pension fund and annual leave benefits.

Overview

EC&I Technician – Worcester. Industry: Wastewater sector.

Requirements

The person to be a qualified electrician.

Min 8 years’ experience.

Some SCADA & PLC experience would be preferable.

Well experienced on industrial plants, performing installations, maintenance, fault finding & corrective action activities.

Should be able to attend to call-outs in cases of emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled & corrective maintenance activities for all EC&I items on site. A high level of quality installations & workmanship is compulsory.
• Maintain the P&ID, focused on EC&I.
• Improve & maintain EC&I related cables to be labelled, routed & installed to standard.
• Instrumentation to be inspected, calibrated, serviced, repaired, replaced.
• EC&I interface to PLC & SCADA systems.
• Log Job Card Tasks to request PLC & SCADA programming needs
• Use the OSTicket system as a baseline for Job Cards. Be clear & precise on each.
• Review & amend existing maintenance schedule for EC&I
• Develop & maintain Critical spares lists
• Develop & maintain Critical tool list
• Other EC&I relevant tasks…….

R35 000CTC

Pension fund where employee can choose to contribute 2.5%, 4% or 6% and company will contribute the same.

15 days annual leave and after 3 years of service 20 days leave
