Placements24 is partnering with a leading early childhood development center in George, Western Cape to recruit a Curriculum Specialist. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and refining programs that support holistic child development across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains.

You will lead curriculum frameworks, mentor educators, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering a nurturing learning environment for hundreds of children.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Developmental Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years in curriculum development and implementation in an early childhood setting.
• Knowledge of child development theories and age-appropriate teaching methodologies.
• Experience in training and mentoring educators.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and project management abilities.
• Proficiency in educational software and technology relevant to early learning.
• First Aid certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update curriculum frameworks for early childhood education programs, ensuring alignment with developmental milestones and educational best practices.
• Design engaging lesson plans, activities, and learning materials that promote creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving in young children.
• Provide training and ongoing support to early childhood educators on curriculum implementation and effective teaching strategies.
• Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's progress, providing feedback to educators and parents.
• Collaborate with center management and staff to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment for all children.
• Research and integrate innovative educational approaches and resources relevant to early childhood development in George, Western Cape.
• Organize and lead parent workshops focused on early learning and development.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant educational regulations and standards.
