Placements24 is seeking an E-commerce Platform Specialist to join a fully remote team. You will manage the main e-commerce platform, configure catalogs, and implement integrations with ERP/CRM, payments and shipping services. Strong API know‑how and web tech experience are required.

Responsible for platform optimization, troubleshooting, and supporting marketing campaigns. Remote, independent work in a distributed environment with a focus on technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years with a major e-commerce platform.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce architecture, APIs and integrations.
• Web tech basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) are beneficial.

About the Role

Our client is searching for a skilled E-commerce Platform Specialist to join their fully remote team and be the technical backbone of their online store. This role is crucial for managing, optimizing, and enhancing the functionality of their chosen e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless and robust online shopping experience for customers. You will be responsible for platform configuration, integrations, troubleshooting, and implementing new features to support marketing and operational objectives. We are looking for a technically adept individual with a deep understanding of e-commerce technology stacks and a passion for optimizing online storefronts, who can work independently and collaboratively in a distributed environment, driving technical excellence and contributing to the continuous improvement of the digital commerce capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the company's primary e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento, BigCommerce), ensuring its optimal performance and security.
• Implement and manage integrations with third-party applications and services (e.g., ERP, CRM, payment gateways, shipping solutions).
• Configure product catalogs, pricing rules, promotions, and content across the platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the e-commerce platform, collaborating with development teams when necessary.
• Support the execution of marketing campaigns by implementing necessary platform configurations and features.
• Stay current with platform updates, new features, and industry best practices to recommend improvements and enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with a major e-commerce platform .
• Strong understanding of e-commerce architecture, APIs, and integration methodologies.
• Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is beneficial.
• Experience with payment gateways, shipping integrations, and order management systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail, suitable for a remote role.
