Job summary

De Klerk & De Villiers Insurance Brokers (Pty) LTD in Port Elizabeth is seeking a Personal & Commercial Short Term Underwriter who can manage renewals, advise clients, and handle quotations.

The role requires an NQF Level 4 qualification (or experience with the option to upgrade), RE5 certification, CPD up to date, and a clean record. You will build relationships with clients, providers and colleagues while meeting targets.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 4 qualification (minimum) or working experience, with the option to obtain your full qualification.
• RE5 certification.
• CPD up to date.
• No criminal record.
• Not an unrehabilitated insolvent.

Responsibilities

• Handle policy renewals and client servicing
• Advise clients on short‑term insurance needs
• Request and finalize quotations
• Follow up on underwriting and service matters
• Build strong relationships with clients, providers & colleagues
