Job summary

Qualifications

• BEd and/or PGCE in foundation phase education.
• Honours degree advantageous.
• Experience in foundation phase teaching and knowledge of IEB curriculum.
• Strong facilitation, reporting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate Foundation Phase subjects according to Curro curriculum.
• Plan lessons and monitor academic progress, adjusting term plans as needed.
• Create an engaging, well-managed classroom environment and communicate with learners and parents.
• Administer assessments, manage the assessment roster, and provide constructive feedback.
• Coordinate homework, revisions and extramural activities, including parent meetings.
