Job summary

Delaire Graff Lodges & Spa in Stellenbosch seeks a Duty Manager to ensure a seamless guest journey from arrival to departure, in line with all policies.

You will lead guest relations, monitor frontline staff, compile rosters, and set up training for new Guest Relations Officers. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years front desk experience and a hospitality qualification, with superb communication and a warm, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 plus a diploma/certificate in Hospitality/Tourism.
• 2-3 years' front desk experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and client-facing demeanor.
• Able to work night shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards in guest service, cleanliness and maintenance.
• Oversee all Guest Relations processes.
• Assist in employee relations and roster management.
• Attend morning meetings and train new Guest Relations Officers.
• Ensure guest queries are handled promptly and in line with estate policies.
• Ensure all Guest Relations Officers adhere to policies.

Delaire Graff Lodges & Spa is looking for a Duty Manager who will be responsible for ensuring that the guest experience from arrival to departure is seamless in accordance with all policies and procedures set.

Main responsibilities:

• Ensure the highest standards are kept in guest service, cleanliness and maintenance standards
• Monitors Guest Relations employees to make sure all guests receive prompt and personal recognition
• Oversee all Guest Relations processes
• Assist in employee relations processes
• Able to carry out and complete all duties responsible for a Guest Relations Officer and Night Auditor
• Attend morning meetings
• Able to compile the roster, roster management
• Set up and create training for all new recruited Guest Relations Officers
• Ensure that all guest queries are taken and processed in a speedy and efficient manner
• Ensures that all Guest Relations Officers adhere to the established policies and procedures of the estate
• Ensure attention to detail in all tasks given
• Ensure all Guest Relations Officers are trained on all aspects of Delaire Graff

Main requirements:

• Grade 12 plus diploma/certificate in Hospitality Industry/Tourism
• Preferably 2 -3 years previous experience working at the front desk
• Passionate about the hospitality industry
• Excellent interpersonal- & communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments and across cultures and religions
• Able to deal with very distinguished clientele
• Must be well-presented
