Placements24 is seeking a proactive Community Engagement Coordinator for our Durban operations. You will design and implement strategies to boost community participation, facilitate dialogue, and identify needs with local stakeholders. A passion for social impact and strong networking skills are essential.

The role involves coordinating community meetings, representing the organisation at local events, and collaborating with teams to translate feedback into actionable projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum 3+ years in community engagement or stakeholder relations.
• Experience engaging diverse community groups and leaders in urban settings.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive community engagement plans and strategies.
• Organise and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and public forums in Durban.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with diverse community groups and leaders.
• Identify community needs and priorities, translating them into actionable project ideas.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the organisation and the community.
• Promote awareness of the organisation's services within KwaZulu-Natal.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align community feedback with project objectives.
• Document engagement activities, gather feedback, and prepare reports.
