Placements24 seeks a seasoned Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure in Durban. You will shape cloud strategy, advise on best practices, and guide teams through complex migrations and deployments.
The role requires deep cloud platform expertise, strong leadership, and excellent communication within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
- 7+ years in IT infrastructure and cloud computing with at least 3 years in a Solutions Architect role.
- Proven track record designing/implementing solutions on AWS, Azure and GCP.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, databases, and virtualization in cloud contexts.
- Experience with IaC tools Terraform or CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Develop cloud strategy, roadmaps, and best practices for the organization.
- Lead migration of on-premises apps/infrastructure to the cloud.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams for seamless integration.
- Optimize resource utilization for performance, scalability, and cost.
- Provide mentorship to engineering teams on cloud technologies.
