Placements24 seeks a strategic Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead the finance division in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, translating complex data into actionable business strategies for executive decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related quantitative field.
• Professional certification such as CFA, CMA or CPA is desirable.
• Minimum 10 years in FP&A, corporate finance or related, with 3+ years in leadership.
• Proven experience building complex financial models, budgets and forecasts for large orgs.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in financial software, advanced Excel; ERP and BI tools experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A: budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the Durban organisation.
• Develop robust financial models to support strategic initiatives and investments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with KPIs, variances and trends.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and business units.
• Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and systems.
• Consolidate financial plans from departments and subsidiaries.
• Analyze financial impact of business decisions and provide optimization recommendations.
• Prepare board materials and investor relations presentations.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
