Job summary

Mayfly Agri is seeking a Warehouse Manager in South Africa to oversee full warehouse operations, including receiving, stock control, and dispatch of drones and precision agriculture equipment. You will manage stock accuracy, coordinate couriers, and optimize layout and processes to improve efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in warehouse/logistics, a tertiary qualification, and experience with Salesforce/ERP. Remote work not offered; on-site position in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in warehouse management, logistics, inventory control, spare parts, operations, or similar.
• Experience with technical equipment, machinery, electronics, agricultural equipment or similar would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, receiving, dispatch, stock control and warehouse procedures.
• Proven ability to manage multiple operational functions simultaneously.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Must have experience using Salesforce, ERP, inventory management, or similar systems.
• Strong ability to learn and adapt to new technology and software platforms.
• Proven experience working with couriers, freight forwarders, logistics providers and customs partners.
• Experience with import/export documentation would be advantageous.
• Comfortable handling hazardous materials, LiPo batteries, following safety procedures.
• Identifying and implementing warehouse layout and process improvements.
• Good computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's licence; forklift licence would be advantageous.
• Fluency in English (Read, Write, Speak).
• Experience in agriculture, drones, robotics, technology, engineering or fast-growing operational environments would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage full warehouse inventory using Salesforce or relevant systems, including receiving, stock counts, stock movements and order processing.
• Receive, inspect, verify and store incoming drones, spare parts, batteries and precision agriculture equipment.
• Maintain accurate stock records and investigate discrepancies promptly.
• Organise and optimise warehouse layout, including racking, bin locations, picking areas and slow-moving stock.
• Implement efficient stock control procedures to maximise space, picking efficiency and accuracy.
• Establish and follow procedures for releasing stock after customer payment or internal approval.
• Ensure all stock movements are recorded and traceable.
• Prepare and dispatch customer orders, equipment, stock and trailers for Sales and Technical teams.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with couriers and logistics partners.
• Ensure orders are picked, packed, documented and dispatched within required timeframes.
• Track shipments from collection to delivery and address delays.
• Coordinate import/export documentation with customs agents and partners.
• Investigate missing/damaged/delayed shipments and manage claims to resolution.
• Maintain records of all dispatches, deliveries, returns and logistics issues.
• Manage spare parts inventory, including stock control, invoicing, warranty tracking, disassembly and write-offs.
• Maintain serial number records for warranty management, audits, traceability and stock control.
• Coordinate with Technical team to ensure required parts are available for repairs and maintenance.
• Assist with preparing and checking equipment prior to dispatch.
• Support Technical team with equipment preparation and testing.
• Ensure returned equipment and spare parts are processed and stored correctly.
• Handle hazardous materials, including LiPo batteries, per safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
• Ensure storage procedures for drones, batteries and electronics.
• Support regular stock counts, audits and financial reporting.
• Ensure warehouse processes comply with company policies and safety/operational requirements.
• Report damaged/missing/unsafe equipment and take corrective action.
• Identify opportunities to improve layout, stock control, dispatch and efficiency.
• Implement improvements to increase accountability, accuracy and turnaround times.
• Develop and maintain clear warehouse procedures and admin systems.
• Monitor recurring inventory issues and implement preventive solutions.
• Support scalable warehouse processes for SA operations.
• Liaise with Sales regarding stock availability and delivery timelines.
• Work with Technical team on spare parts, repairs and dispatch requirements.
• Coordinate with Finance on stock records, invoicing, payments and counts.
• Provide regular updates on stock availability, outstanding orders and logistics issues.
• Ensure effective cross-department communication to minimise delays and errors.
