Job summary

Greys Recruitment Durban site is seeking a reliable Driver / Warehouse Assistant to join the Operations team. The role covers safe delivering and collecting products, stock handling and general logistics in a Durban warehouse setting.

You will work across driving and warehouse duties, need a Code 10 with PDP, Durban knowledge, and a commitment to safety, accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent is required.
• Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence with PDP is essential.
• 3–5 years’ delivery driver experience in warehouse/logistics.
• Stock handling and basic warehouse operations experience.
• Good knowledge of Durban and surrounding areas.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with road regulations.
• Deliver and collect products, equipment and documentation from customers and branches.
• Load, offload, count, inspect and secure stock for transport.
• Ensure all deliveries/collections are documented and signed.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Keep vehicles clean and roadworthy; perform basic maintenance.
• Assist with receiving, checking, packing and dispatching stock.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with stock counts, inventory control and warehouse organisation.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.
• Follow OH&S policies and company procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers and colleagues.

Driver / Warehouse Assistant – Durban – South Africa

Our client is a reputable South African healthcare company with a national footprint and established operations in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.

An opportunity is available for a reliable, responsible and hands‑on Driver / Warehouse Assistant to join the Operations team at their Cornubia, Durban office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of products and equipment, while also assisting with warehouse operations, stock control, order preparation and general logistics activities.

This position will suit a dependable and hardworking individual who takes pride in safe driving, professional customer service and accurate stock handling.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working across both driving and warehouse responsibilities, have a strong knowledge of Durban and surrounding areas, and be willing to assist wherever required to support the smooth running of the operation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
• Valid South African Code 10 Driver’s Licence with PDP essential
• 3–5 years’ experience as a delivery driver within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment
• Previous experience handling stock and assisting with warehouse operations
• Good knowledge of Durban and surrounding areas
• Understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures
• Physically fit and able to lift and move stock when required
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge advantageous
• Reliable transport to and from work
• Willing to work overtime and weekends when required
• Excellent driving skills with a strong safety record

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keep company vehicles clean, roadworthy and properly maintained
• Assist with receiving, checking, packing and dispatching warehouse stock
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Assist with stock counts, inventory control and warehouse organisation
• Ensure products are handled carefully to prevent damage
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
• Follow all Occupational Health and Safety policies and company procedures
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers and colleagues
• Complete general warehouse and administrative duties as required
• Assist with any additional operational duties assigned by Management
