Placements24 seeks a dedicated Drilling Fluids Engineer to support operations in Tembisa. You will design and manage drilling fluid programs, analyze properties, and adjust formulations to optimize performance and safety in oil & gas projects.

The role emphasizes managing downhole pressures, reducing NPT, and collaborating with rig teams. Achemical engineering background and 5+ years in drilling fluids are required, with strong communication skills and a hands-on approach.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Drilling Fluids Engineer or similar role in Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of drilling fluid chemistry, rheology, and additives.
• Familiarity with water-based, oil-based, and synthetic-based fluids.
• Ability to interpret drilling data and make timely decisions.
• Excellent communication under pressure.

• Design, implement, and manage drilling fluid programs for various well types and geological formations.
• Regularly test and analyze drilling fluid properties to meet specifications.
