Job summary

H Systems (Pty) Ltd. requires a draughting and CAD specialist to produce fully dimensioned, detailed drawings while upholding quality standards and accuracy. The role includes planning drawing requirements, compiling shop drawings, and providing CAD support to update software packages.

You will also compile quotations for drafting facilities and services, log hours, and ensure adherence to health and safety policies under the SHEQ integrated management system.

Responsibilities

• DRAUGHTING: Plan and determine drawing requirements to produce engineering drawings.
• Compilation of customer required shop drawings.
• Assist with analysing drawings and specifications for costing requirements.
• Drawing of dies.
• Provide CAD drawing support to Support Technician for updating of software packages.
• Compilation of quotations relating to drafting facilities and drafting services provided to clients.
• Logging hours and reporting on progress/completion of drafting quotations.
• Compilation of drawing service quotations for specific projects and the tracking of hours spent against quotations issued.

JOB PURPOSE

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• DRAUGHTING
  • Plan and determine drawing requirements to produce engineering drawings.
  • Compilation of customer required shop drawings.
  • Assist with analysing drawings and specifications for costing requirements.

• TECHNICAL SUPPORT
  • Collate all project information (Drawings, specifications, data, special instructions, etc.)
• SHEQ INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CONTROL
  • Ensure adherence to the OHS Act.
    • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves of other persons.
    • Co-operate with the employer to enable prescribed duties or requirements to be complied with.
    • Carry out any lawful order given and obey the health and safety rules and procedures.
    • Report any unsafe or unhealthy situation to the employer.
    • Report any incident to the employer.
    • Comply with health and safety plans
  • Participate in any Integrated Management System activities as required.
  • Identify and report opportunities for improvement, Non-Conformances, and Incidents in area of responsibility.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Always maintain a high level of customer service levels standards.
  • Ensure the Technical Department maintains and complies with standards of health and safety, and hygiene always.
