Job summary

Renaissance Care invites applications for a Domestic Assistant position at Jesmond Care Home. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, ensuring they feel at home and valued.

The role is 30 hours per week with opportunities for progression. Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar role and understanding of COSHH, HACCP and infection control, plus strong teamwork and independent work skills.

Qualifications

Domestic Assistant, Jesmond

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Domestic Assistants at Renaissance Care. In this role, you will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, ensuring they feel at home and valued.

We are seeking an experienced Domestic Assistants to join our team in Jesmond Care Home for 30 hours per week.

Within this role, we encourage candidates to build and develop meaningful relationships with residents and to include them, where possible, in daily activities that may interest them. These interactions provide great purpose for many residents and can have a positive impact on an individuals daily experience.

As a domestic assistant your role is to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in the home to ensure residents environment is clean, tidy, homely and welcoming. This is inclusive of all personal rooms, en-suites and all communal areas including lounge, dining and bathrooms facilities.

Requirements

Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role or sector and a good understanding of COSHH, HACCP, and infection control procedures. You should be a strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team but also feels confident working independently when needed. A keen eye for detail is essential, along with a respectful approach to maintaining our residents' dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
