Placements24 is seeking a Distribution Operations Manager to oversee our Paarl distribution center, ensuring efficient goods movement, inventory control, and process optimization. You will lead a team of warehouse staff, implement WMS, and drive safety and productivity across the site.

Reporting to senior operations leadership, you will develop layouts, monitor performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet service levels in the Western Cape region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in warehouse and distribution operations management.
• Proven experience with WMS and other logistics software.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, material handling, and logistics best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of warehouse and distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, and dispatch.
• Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows to maximize productivity and space utilization.
• Oversee inventory management processes, ensuring accuracy and minimizing stock discrepancies.
• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve operational targets and maintain high safety standards.
• Implement and utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage operations effectively.
