Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent required.
- Tertiary engineering/automation related education.
- 2+ years in petrochemical/chemical processing.
- 3–4 years in a distillation plant.
- 3–4 years hands-on with SCADA and PLC.
- Proficient MS Office skills.
- Knowledge of PSM frameworks.
- Shutdown experience: 0–2 years.
- RCA and NCR experience: 0–2 years.
Responsibilities
- Oversee continuous distillation processes.
- Monitor critical operating parameters.
- Optimize production efficiency.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA and PLC systems.
- Interpret trends, alarms, and interlocks.
- Utilize MS Office for data analysis.
- Apply PSM principles (OSHA act).
- Coordinate with maintenance during turnarounds and shutdowns.
- Perform RCA and NCR for continuous improvement.
