Job summary

Riseup Management in Durban seeks a seasoned Dispatch Supervisor to lead the daily dispatch operations and ensure timely deliveries. You will supervise the dispatch team, coordinate goods receipt and dispatch, and uphold accurate GRVs and stock records.

Requirements include Matric with Mathematics, 23+ years in dispatch/logistics, strong computer literacy, and excellent communication. You will plan routes, liaise with drivers and warehouse staff, and optimise local and long-distance deliveries

Qualifications

Matric/Grade 12 with Mathematics and relevant dispatch experience.
Minimum 23 years in dispatch, logistics, warehouse, or distribution.
Strong computer literacy and experience with dispatch systems.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
Experience supervising a dispatch team.

Responsibilities

Supervise, coordinate, and manage the daily activities of the dispatch team.
Receive incoming goods and ensure deliveries are checked, recorded, and processed.
Complete and process GRVs accurately and ensure goods match documentation.
Coordinate accurate and timely dispatch of customer orders.
Plan and schedule local and long-distance deliveries to optimise routes.
Coordinate with drivers and dispatch staff to ensure on-time deliveries.
Provide exceptional customer service by resolving dispatch issues.
Liaise with customers, drivers, warehouse staff, and management.
Monitor loading and dispatching of goods for accuracy and safety.
