Job summary

The Department of Co-Operative Governance and Traditional Affairs in Johannesburg is seeking a Director: Human Capital Management at senior management level. You will lead organisational design, workforce planning, PMDS and HR information systems to support service delivery.

Requirements include Matric plus NQF 7 in HR/Public/Business Management, at least 5 years’ middle/senior management experience in the Public Service, NSG SMS pre-entry, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Matric plus NQF level 7 in HR/Public/Business Management or relevant qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience at Middle/Senior Management level in HR in the Public Service.
• SMS Pre-entry certificate from NSG prior to appointment; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead organisational design, job evaluation, profiling and change interventions.
• Provide strategic workforce planning, recruitment, retention and development.
• Oversee PMDS, staff administration, and HR information systems.
• Manage staff relations, wellness, and labour relations.
• Provide strategic advice on governance, risk, budget and accountability.
