Our client, a leading player in the industrial sector based in Centurion, Gauteng , is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Operations. This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the company, driving efficiency, and ensuring the successful execution of strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of operational management, supply chain logistics, and production processes. Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies to align with company goals and market demands. Provide leadership and direction to all operational departments, including manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and quality control. Optimize supply chain management, inventory control, and distribution networks for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Oversee the production process, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to safety standards. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Manage operational budgets, ensuring cost control and resource optimization. Foster strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and key stakeholders. Lead and mentor operational teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Drive innovation in operational processes and technologies to enhance competitiveness. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Requirements

Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in operations management, with a significant focus on leadership roles. Extensive experience in manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics management. Proven track record of successfully implementing operational improvements and achieving significant cost savings. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop large, diverse teams. Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and P&L responsibility. Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Proficiency in ERP systems and other relevant operational software. Experience in a senior leadership capacity within the industrial or manufacturing sector is essential.
