Job summary

Placements24 in Richards Bay is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead our client's security program. You will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive security measures to protect data and systems, manage a team of security professionals, and drive a culture of security awareness.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Information Security or related field, CISSP or CISM, and at least 10 years in information security with 3 in leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field is required.
• CISSP or CISM certification is mandatory.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in information security with at least 3 years in management or leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the information security team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Develop and execute the organization's information security strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee risk management processes including identification, assessment, and mitigation of security risks.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
• Manage the security budget, resource allocation, and vendor relationships.
• Establish and maintain an incident response capability and coordinate responses to security breaches.
• Promote security awareness and best practices across all organizational levels.
