Job summary

Wild Dreams Hospitality in Limpopo is seeking a dining host to elevate the safari dining experience. You will bridge the kitchen and guests, host the evening table, and communicate the story behind each dish while ensuring a warm, memorable atmosphere.

You will work closely with the Lodge Chef Consultant and F&B Manager, oversee OHS and hygiene standards, and help roll out menus in a live-in retreat setting, with a 3 weeks on / 1 week off cycle.

Qualifications

  • Credible food and kitchen background with solid understanding of kitchen operations, food concepts, and menu implementation.
  • Strong front-facing personality with excellent guest interaction and hosting skills.
  • Ability to communicate the story and journey behind food in an engaging and accessible way.
  • Passionate about food, hospitality, and delivering a world-class guest experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to gather meaningful guest feedback and relay it effectively to the kitchen and management.
  • Comfortable working closely with a chef consultant, F&B team, and lodge management.
  • Attention to detail and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement of the dining experience.
  • Knowledge of kitchen OHS, hygiene, and operational standards.
  • Comfortable living and working in a remote bush environment.

Responsibilities

  • Host and oversee the evening dining experience, creating a warm, engaging, and memorable atmosphere for guests.
  • Create a meaningful connection between the kitchen, the food being served, and the guest.
  • Understand and communicate the story and journey behind each dish in a way that enhances the overall safari dining experience.
  • Gather guest feedback during and after service and identify opportunities to improve the dining experience.
  • Work closely with the Lodge Chef Consultant and F&B Manager on menu implementation, food concepts, and service standards.
  • Assist with menu rollouts and ensure the kitchen team consistently understands and implements agreed menus.
  • Oversee kitchen OHS hygiene, and operational standards.

Job description
