The Prestige Cosmetics Group is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to own its digital and eCommerce presence, lead the LCB division, and drive sell-out performance through retailer partnerships, campaigns, media buying, and budget management.

You will manage PCG's social platforms, collaborate with brand teams and agencies (Kintaro), oversee budget and reporting, and lead the Digital Marketing Coordinator with a focus on discipline, commercial intent, and brand integrity.

Job description

Purpose of the Role

To own and lead the full digital and eCommerce presence of Prestige Cosmetics Group, with primary accountability for the LCB division. The Digital Marketing Manager is the commercial and strategic digital authority within PCG, responsible for driving measurable sell-out performance through retailer partnerships, campaign execution, media buying, and budget management. The role owns PCG's social media platforms and ensures that the business's online presence consistently reflects brand positioning across all digital channels. It provides direction and line management to the Digital Marketing Coordinator, building a digital function that operates with discipline, commercial intent, and brand integrity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Retailer Partnerships and eCommerce
  • Ownership of negotiation, product listings, campaign booking, execution, and return on investment reporting across all online retail partners — Foschini, Truworths, Superbalist, Woolworths, Edgars, ARC, Takealot, Clicks, Dis-Chem, and SKINS. Scope includes Co-op and paid media management.
  • eCommerce platform management
  • Ensure a consistent and accurate presence of PCG brands across all retailer eCommerce platforms, aligned with brand guidelines and commercial priorities. Manage all eRetailer website updates, campaign launches, and animations in collaboration with brand.
  • Retailer communications
  • Manage communication with eRetailers on campaign animations, including emails and social media, based on brand guidelines. Ensure close collaboration with brand principals and secure approval of retailer emails and website features before publication.
  • Escalation and resolution
  • Own resolution of structural or commercial issues escalated from the Digital Marketing Coordinator, including listing disputes, pricing disagreements, campaign timing conflicts, and matters with retailer-relationship implications.
Media, Campaign Planning and Social Media
  • Media buying and campaign planning
  • Partner with brand teams on media buying, campaign planning, and deployment of eMarketing content across digital platforms. Manage campaign execution from brief through to delivery in partnership with Kintaro and other media agencies.
  • PCG social media management
  • Own and manage PCG's presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. Responsible for content planning, publishing cadence, and platform integrity in line with PCG's brand standards and commercial calendar.
  • NARS brand social media and CRM
  • Own NARS social media management including Customer Relationship Management emailer planning and execution.
  • Market and competitor intelligence
  • Conduct regular environmental scans of competitor digital activity. Provide monthly communications highlighting trends, opportunities, and competitor insights to relevant stakeholders to inform marketing strategy.
Budget and Reporting
  • Budget ownership
  • Set and manage the annual online sales and marketing budget by brand, in partnership with brand managers. Budget ownership includes sell-out targets as a key performance indicator.
  • Co-op reconciliation
  • Produce monthly Co-op reconciliation reports with proof of execution and campaign performance feedback.
  • Campaign reporting
  • Provide monthly performance reporting across all media campaigns. Produce weekly updates and monthly sales reports as required. Organise regular test purchases to monitor eRetailer standards.
  • Spend accuracy
  • Ensure accurate and timeous reporting of all spend within allocated budgets. Re-evaluate and improve digital strategies regularly to maximise campaign performance and return on investment.
Stakeholder Management and Engagement
  • Ensure communication and buy-in of digital updates and plans with all relevant internal stakeholders. Work with brand managers and Marketing Executives to align digital activity with the broader commercial plan.
  • Build optimal relationships with all retailers, suppliers and external stakeholders as required to ensure collaboration and efficient and effective solution-generation and execution.
  • Agency and service provider management
  • Manage digital marketing service providers and agencies. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures across digital platforms to ensure platform governance and consistency.
  • Best practice implementation
  • Evaluate and implement relevant best practices from global brand teams where applicable to the South African market. Link link on grey market activity as required.

  • Line-manage the Digital Marketing Coordinator. Provide clear direction, day-to-day oversight, and structured development support. Ensure audit outputs and escalations are reviewed and actioned timeously.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a digital marketing role, with demonstrable experience in eCommerce and online retail partner management.
  • Proven experience managing retailer digital platforms and product listing environments.
  • Experience in media buying, campaign planning, and agency management.
  • Experience managing social media platforms in a commercial environment.
  • Prior exposure to budget ownership and return on investment reporting.
  • Experience managing a direct report or junior team member is advantageous.
  • Experience in the cosmetics, beauty, or FMCG retail sector is advantageous.
  • Experience working with paid online campaigns, including Google and Meta, is advantageous.
