The role collaborates with business, marketing, communications, and digital teams to translate requests into actionable plans, develop milestones, and govern delivery across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Significant experience within digital demand management, web governance, publishing operations, delivery coordination, or enterprise digital planning functions.
• Proven experience in complex enterprise or regulated B2B environments.
• Experience managing intake, prioritisation, backlog coordination, or governance across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Experience in financial services, financial markets or similarly regulated industries is preferred.
• Proven experience operating within demand management, intake management, prioritisation, or digital governance functions.
• Strong ability to balance business value, regulatory obligations, reputational risk, operational risk and priorities.
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to challenge requests when appropriate.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with structured decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Act as the central point of intake and triage for digital and web-related business requests across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Partner with senior business, marketing, communications, and digital stakeholders to understand business value, regulatory importance, and operational risk.
• Facilitate structured prioritisation and decision-making to allocate resources to high-value, high-risk work.
• Challenge scope, timelines, and priorities while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
• Translate loosely defined requests into clear, actionable delivery priorities.
• Develop milestone-based delivery plans with timelines, dependencies and ownership.
• Coordinate delivery across concurrent initiatives balancing commercial priorities with governance and risk.
• Support evolution of demand management and intake processes for visibility and accountability.
• Ensure responsibilities and dependencies are defined to meet delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with digital, publishing, UX, tech and marketing teams to align planning and execution.
• Support governance and reporting on prioritisation, backlog, milestones and risk.
• Promote structured prioritisation frameworks and transparent trade-offs to reduce reactive work.

Working hours:40 hours per week. This role follows UK business hours (typically 9:00–17:30 UK time), which is approximately 11:00–19:30 South Africa time depending on daylight savings.

We are seeking a Web Publishing Lead, Demand Management to work with our client in the global financial markets infrastructure and data industry, driving the intake, prioritisation, planning, and coordination of digital and web-related business demand across strategic marketing platforms.

This role sits at the intersection of business demand, delivery planning, governance, and stakeholder management, ensuring that digital work is prioritised based on true business value, regulatory obligations, risk, and operational impact — rather than urgency alone.

What you will do:

• Act as the central point of intake and triage for digital and web-related business requests across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Partner with senior business, marketing, communications, and digital stakeholders to understand the true business value, regulatory importance, and operational risk associated with incoming requests.
• Facilitate structured prioritisation and decision-making processes to ensure resources are allocated to the highest-value and highest-risk activities.
• Challenge scope, timelines, assumptions, and priorities where necessary while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and trust.
• Translate loosely defined business requests into clear, actionable, and comparable priorities for delivery teams.
• Develop realistic, milestone-based delivery plans that clearly define timelines, dependencies, stakeholder responsibilities, approvals, and content readiness requirements.
• Coordinate delivery expectations across multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing commercial priorities with governance, regulatory, and operational considerations.
• Support the evolution of demand management and intake processes to improve visibility, accountability, prioritisation, and sustainable delivery practices.
• Ensure stakeholders understand their responsibilities and dependencies required to achieve agreed delivery timelines.
• Work closely with digital, publishing, UX, technology, and marketing teams to align planning, sequencing, and delivery expectations.
• Support governance and reporting processes related to prioritisation, backlog management, delivery milestones, and operational risk.
• Promote structured prioritisation frameworks and transparent trade-off discussions to reduce reactive work and unsustainable delivery practices.
