Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Digital Communications Manager to lead the client's digital presence from the Tembisa, Gauteng office. You will shape the online narrative, engage diverse audiences, and drive brand awareness through cutting-edge digital strategies.

You will oversee all digital channels, including social media, website content, SEO, email marketing, and content creation, translating ideas into engaging digital content while collaborating with marketing, sales, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or related field.
• 4+ years in digital communications, social media or digital marketing.
• Proven success in developing and executing digital content strategies.
• Expertise across major social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Strong SEO, SEM, content marketing and email marketing knowledge.
• Proficiency with web analytics tools and social media management platforms.
• Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Strong project management and ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Creative thinker with problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with basic graphic design and video editing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement digital communication strategies across all online platforms.
• Grow the client's social media presence with engaging content and community management.
• Oversee creation, editing, and publishing of articles, videos, infographics, and copy.
• Optimize website content for SEO to increase organic visibility and traffic.
• Plan and execute digital advertising campaigns (social media and PPC).
• Analyze website and campaign data to identify trends and improvement areas.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams for cohesive messaging.
• Manage online reputation and respond to reviews professionally.
• Stay updated with the latest digital marketing trends and tools.
• Report KPIs to senior management with insights and recommendations.
