Job summary

LRHR (Pty) Ltd t/a Lotus HR and Recruitment is seeking an experienced Digger Loader Operator for our client in the Cape Winelands region. The role requires proven experience operating a digger loader on construction sites and readiness to work in residential and commercial projects.

You will perform site preparation tasks, ensure machinery safety, conduct inspections and coordinate with supervisors to meet project timelines. Must have a valid driver's license and be physically fit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience operating a Digger Loader.
• Experience in excavation, earthmoving, trenching and site preparation.
• Relevant Digger Loader/Earthmoving Equipment Operator certification.
• Ability to operate safely with site supervision and teams.
• Daily machinery inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Strong commitment to health and safety on construction sites.

Our client, an established and expanding construction company specialising in residential and commercial construction projects, seeks to employ an experienced Digger Loader Operator to join their professional team.Please note that candidates must have proven experience operating digger loaders within the construction sector and reside in the Cape Winelands or surrounding areas

• You must have a minimum of 2–3 years' experience operating a Digger Loader, preferably within the construction or civil construction sector.
• You must have practical experience in excavation, earthmoving, trenching, backfilling, levelling, loading and general site preparation.
• You must hold relevant Digger Loader/Earthmoving Equipment Operator certification or competency.
• You must be able to operate machinery safely and efficiently, working closely with site supervisors and construction teams to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• You must be able to conduct daily machinery inspections, perform basic preventative maintenance and identify and report mechanical faults or safety concerns.
• You must have a sound understanding of construction site health and safety regulations and demonstrate a strong commitment to safe working practices.
• You must be reliable, physically fit, safety-conscious and willing to assist with general site activities when required.
• You must have a valid driver's licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record.
