Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator for its Polokwane operations. The role involves operating excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy machinery used in construction, mining, and logistics.

You will perform earthmoving, loading and grading tasks while maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years' experience, a valid certification/license, and the ability to read site plans.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of proven heavy equipment operating experience.
• Valid certification or license for operating specific heavy machinery.
• Ability to read site plans and technical manuals; knowledge of basic equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, and graders safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Follow site plans and instructions to complete earthmoving, loading, and grading tasks.
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and site-specific procedures.
• Transport equipment to and from work sites when required.
• Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
