Job summary

Volvo Trucks Southern Africa is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy commercial vehicles. You will diagnose faults, interpret Volvo manuals, and perform repairs to Volvo standards.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will liaise with drivers during breakdowns, ensure proper documentation, and uphold ISO 9001 and safety standards. Matric/N3 and a Trade Test in Diesel Mechanics are required, with at least three years dealership experience.

Qualifications

• Matric/N3 and a trade qualification in diesel mechanics.
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic with a Trade Test Certificate.
• At least 3 years of dealership experience in maintenance and repairs of heavy commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Fault-finding and diagnosing Volvo heavy vehicles.
• Interpret and apply Volvo manuals and service literature.
• Perform repairs and maintenance to Volvo standards.
• Provide accurate diagnostic reports and recommendations.
• Liaise with drivers during breakdowns and complete documentation.
• Follow ISO 9001 and safety standards.
