Job summary

Volvo Group Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a skilled technician to maintain and repair heavy commercial vehicles at our service workshop in KwaZulu-Natal. You will diagnose faults, follow Volvo manuals, and ensure high-quality workmanship to meet ISO 9001 standards.

Reporting to the Team Leader, the ideal candidate has Matric/N3, 3 years dealership experience, and strong ability to read measuring equipment and interpret technical manuals. Proficiency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Matric/N3 certification required.
• 3 years dealership experience in maintenance and repairs of heavy commercial vehicles.
• Ability to read measuring equipment and interpret manuals.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Fault-finding and diagnosis on Volvo products by interpreting under performance and/or failure.
• Interpret and implement information in Volvo manuals and service literature.
• Follow workshop directives to produce work to Volvo standards.
• Follow repair and maintenance instructions as per the manual.
• Provide accurate reports on diagnosis, component/part failures, observations, actions and recommendations.
• Coordinate with driver before responding to customer breakdowns; ensure documentation is completed; comply with ISO 9001 and safety standards.
